I just love coming back home to Detroit and hanging with friends that I grew up with. My girl Alison Vaughn and I met as teens in Fellowship Chapel church on Detroit’s northwest side of town. Blessed to have a loving and supportive circle of friends. 💖

Sometimes it is challenging to look around today and find some inspiration to be hopeful about the future. But, yet, we persevere. We get up every day, we keep praying and we keep bringing our excellence because that is what God created us to do...to use our gifts to make this world a better place for all. Find inspiration in every breath you take. You are alive and a magnificent being made in the image of the Most High.
Chadwick Boseman
I woke up with a heavy heart thinking about Chadwick Boseman. The fact that this man persevered through rigorous filming days between painful chemo and surgeries to bring us masterpieces is extraordinary, inspiring, and heartbreaking, all at once. His perseverance is a metaphor particularly apropos to today’s challenging times, as we continue to bring excellence in spite of a society that unrelentingly beats us down. Rest in Power Chadwick. 🙏🏾
