We went to see Silk Sonic in Vegas last night! One of the best concerts I’ve been to in a long time!
I was OVERJOYED to see my friend today. I WISH we could have talked longer. WONDER if you can guess who it is? Hint: I just gave you 3. 😉
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAD! I woke up today missing you so much! Then I looked through all our pictures together and it brought such a smile to my face. God blessed me with the best daddy in the world! I love you with all my heart.💝
Happy 100th Birthday, Norman Lear! 🎉
Of all the places I’ve been around the world, this is my very first visit to Aspen, Colorado! It is absolutely breathtaking. And, you don’t have to ski to enjoy Aspen- Summertime is a wonderful time of year to visit the city. Scenic hikes, delicious restaurants, festivals, boating, fishing and wonderful shopping are all things that draw people to city in the warmer months. I’m here on a #GirlsTrip with my high school friends from @casstechalumni in Detroit. We have been having so much fun! If you haven’t been, put this city on your bucket list! 💚
“True friends are never apart - maybe in distance but, never in heart.” Spending the weekend on a #GirlsTrip to Aspen, Colorado with these ladies that I have known since I was 14-years-old. We met in 9th grade at #CassTechnical High School in our hometown Detroit, Michigan. Beth, Shane, Lisa, Pam, Sheila, Sherri, Roz and I all live in different parts of the country now. During the pandemic, we started Zoom calls and text chains because we realized how much we missed each other and our long-time friendship brought us comfort during the lockdown. This is a special year for all of us so Roz invited us to her home in Aspen and we have been having a blast telling jokes, hiking, eating, and acting silly! Love you and cherish you ladies! (And love to our friend Tracie who was suppose to join us.) Friendships are a true blessing. 💚🤍
This little girl on the left - with the big eyes, big bow and big hair - was born on the northwest side of Detroit. She went to St. Cecilia’s Catholic School and loved watching her cartoons - ‘Speed Racer’, Little Rascals and Addams Family. Her parents and grandparents gave her lots of love and told her there was a big, cool world out there and one day she will go and check it out. They said there’s a lot of bad, scary stuff that’s probably going to make her cry but, always remember to be grateful for all of the beautiful things that God shows her that make her happy and smile. They also told her it’s important to ask Him to show her how to help other people who have had bad stuff happen to them. So, the little girl decided to do just that - see the world and do cool stuff. And, boy, were her parents right! There WAS a lot of bad stuff out there and she was often scared and cried a lot. But, she did what they said…she kept praying and pushing on and looking for the beautiful things in the world and she found sooo many to be grateful for and happy about. Then, one day she woke up and she was the woman on the right. And, as she reflected on the journey she has been on, she whispers to her younger self…”Don’t you ever doubt yourself, little girl. You done good.” #blessedonthisbirthday #July11th #birthdaygirl ♋️ 🦀
On the way to the #BETAwards with my BFF Tracey Edmonds 🤍🖤
When I think of true philanthropists, my (play) sister Holly Robinson Peete is one of the first people who comes to mind. Spending part of the weekend supporting the HollyRod Foundation and #designcare2022 was wonderful and I got to see their new facilities where #RJsPlace is located. Hope you can check it out one day and support the HollyRod Foundation!
Happy Birthday Connie Orlando! 🎉 Such a beautiful day with girlfriends celebrating our amazing friend at a rooftop brunch this weekend. I love you and enjoy another fabulous, fun-filled trip around the sun! 🌺❤️
One of the greatest blessings a girl could have is to know the love of a father. 💙 I feel your hugs and kisses every day. I hear your words of wisdom all the time. I feel your presence every moment. I miss you dearly but, know you are here with me. Happy Father’s Day, Dad. I love you so much. ❤️
My dear friend, Nancy Davis, founded Race to Erase MS after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Each year, the nonprofit raises millions of dollars for MS research. Honored to be supporting her at this year’s event!
Happy Birthday, my friend. So many great times together. Miss your sage advice on navigating life, miss the late night parties, miss the dinners, the incredible stories, miss you calling me Harriett Tubman. 💜 Rest easy. #Prince
