We had such a wonderful time seeing Alonzo King’s LINES Ballet at the Wallis Performing Arts Center. After the show, we met the dancers at a private reception. The troupe is so diverse. This sister is Adji Cissoko from Germany. She was just mesmerizing onstage. The second picture is of Adji and Alonzo in the studio. If LINES Ballet comes to your city, don’t miss the show!
Just wrapped my guest role on The Bold Type in Montreal. My scene was with the amazingly talented Laila Robins of Homeland. Thank you for having me. Now, back to the states and warm LA!
The S.H.A.U.N. Foundation for Girls was proud to present this grant to Thistle Farms - the incredible organization in Nashville that services women who have survived sex trafficking. Our discussion on “The Empowered Girl: How NOT to be a Victim of Human Trafficking was held on the campus of Fisk University and educated girls about how to stay safe from traffickers.
We are very grateful to the Ford Fund for making the event possible.
It is so important for girls to see themselves in different roles so, that they can image possibilities beyond perceived limitations and really DREAM BIG!
