Goals 2019
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This is the ONLY way I bring in the new year! 🙌🏾 Being in church the moment the clock strikes midnight is a tradition for me. It’s where I give thanks for all the blessings God bestowed on me the past 365 days and to pray with a humble heart that He will guide my path these next 12 months. And it was a PRAISE PARTY!!! 🎉 Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer of Faithful Central Bible Church delivered (as always) an rousing sermon as we all counted down to midnight. And we daaaannce! 💃🏾 Folks steppin’ in the aisles! Bishop and his amazing wife, Togetta, have been a blessing in my life for years. So has my sister-in-law, Carolyn, who visiting from Atlanta. I am wishing all of you a wonderful 2019 and may God make this a prosperous year for you!

Dad’s Detroit Crew
You guys know how close I was to my daddy. Well, Dad had some great friends in Detroit and whenever I am back in the city, they have a get-together in Dad’s name to celebrate him. The party is usually at the home of Pam (in the red glasses) and Clyde (one of his jazz buddies), Rochel (with the scarf around her neck) use to hang with Dad and have these brilliant philosophical discussions, Barbara, (with the twists) called Dad her “brother”. Even Mom came to hang out. Being around this “family” makes me feel so close to my father. I can feel his spirit. 🙏🏾

Let me introduce you to more of my family: Upper left is Ray; in front of him is Bridgette with the littlest one Milan; top right is Bridgette’s twin brother Ron Jr; in front of him is Branndie holding her little daughter Jamie; to the left of me is Bianca and the little superstar in the pink stripe is her daughter Zoe...There is also Briana (not pictured). The adults are the six children of my cousin Sandy (2nd picture) and her husband Ron Banks of ‘The Dramatics’. Spent Christmas Eve with them as the kids opened presents and they had their father’s Christmas album playing in the background. Friends who are Family
My Detroit homies! I am so blessed to have such great girlfriends and guy friends. Being in my hometown this Christmas and sharing the holiday with them just rejuvenates me and wraps me in love. The folks that knew me “back in the day” and absolutely nothing has changed. I love you so much! Alison, Lauren, Angie, Fredrica, Jerry, Kim, Fay. 😘
