I had a great conversation with Ray McGuire about his incredible career and journey to becoming one of the highest ranking and longest serving black executives on Wall Street. He also tells me why he left his coveted position and decided to enter politics with his run for mayor of NY.
A friend just sent me this picture from the red carpet at the SAG Awards when I interviewed Ms. Cicely Tyson. She always exuded just JOY. I was honored to be in her presence many times. An icon, a legend, a Queen. 🕊 A beautiful angel.
This is the woman who inspired me to become a journalist. Beverly Payne was the first African American female newscaster in my hometown Detroit. In honor of Black History Month, I salute her. I never met Ms. Payne but seeing her made me, as a little girl, know what was possible.
So excited for my Detroit homegirl, Cass Tech and Spelman College classmate Rosalind Brewer for being named the new CEO of Walgreens! Roz is amazing. We have known each other since we were 15-years-old when we grew up across the street from each other on the northwest side of Detroit. We went to high school and college together and I am so proud of her! Roz moves from her position as COO of Starbucks to becoming the only African American female CEO of a Fortune 500 company! Roz, I love you. So many young girls are looking up to you and seeing the possibilities of their own life. You are some special #BlackGirlMagic!
This picture is from the day I interviewed him at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. I love this image because you could see in his face how proud he was to be there at the games representing the United States. It’s been one year since we lost the legend. RIP 🙏🏾
A broadcasting legend. I was honored to know Larry King. I appeared on his #CNN show a few times which was one of the highlights of my career. On this day, I was invited to his farewell party at Spago, Beverly Hills. But, true to who Larry King was, he never disappeared from the spotlight - he was too much a part of our culture for that. He was back in front of the mic and back giving us great interviews. As a journalist, I learned a lot from this man. RIP Larry. 🙏🏾
Congratulations to President Joe Biden and Vice-President Kamala Harris. 🇺🇸
Two shoutouts ~ Happy Birthday Michelle Obama and Happy Inauguration Week Dr. Jill Biden! Wishing you both many more years of happiness. Thank you for being the positive change-makers and role models our girls need to see! ❤️
I’m giving a Saturday morning shoutout to this husband and wife small business. SmilesShield.com. They take the face shield to the next level of bling. 💎 Whenever I go out, I wear my mask 😷 AND face shield. Hope you check them out.

You will blush! 😃 It’s been great being a part of this popular franchise. 90 Day Fiance is seen in 168 countries and territories and we have fans all around the world!

Last New Year’s Eve, I was in the place I’m in every NYE - Church. My sister-in-law Carolyn flew to LA to visit and we rung in the new year at Faithful Central Bible Church with First Lady Togetta and Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer and thousands others. Being in church at the start of a brand new year gives me focus, inspiration and, above all, gratitude. Tonight, we won’t physically be in the church - we will be watching an incredible service online safely from our homes. Our prayers are for a brighter, better 2021 and a blessed assurance that we will be able to hold hands and commune together soon. 🙏🏾 Happy New Year, Everyone!! 🥂 💥
